My name is Dr. Merav Gur. I am a licensed clinical psychologist in New York City (located in the Grand Central area), offering psychotherapy and consultation to adults and adolescents.
I treat anxiety disorders (specializing in panic disorder, Generalized Anxiety, OCD, and social anxiety), depression, post-partum depression, relationship issues, trauma, and bereavement, as well as impulsive and unhealthy coping behaviors. I provide psychotherapy to individuals who are dissatisfied with their interpersonal relationships or with their career and who aspire to lead a more meaningful life. I find that many of my patients who have had past failing relationships or difficulties forming relationships were able to form meaningful and long-lasting relationships as a result of treatment. I also treat women and men who are dealing with fertility issues and may be considering reproductive surgery, fertility treatments, or adoption.
I tailor my approach to each individual’s needs and goals, and work collaboratively with each client. I am trained in several different treatment modalities, including insight oriented psychotherapy (psychodynamic psychotherapy), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) and Interpersonal Psychotherapy (IPT). I conduct treatment both in English and in Hebrew.
You are invited to explore my website and contact me if you have any questions about the services I offer or if you would like to arrange an initial consultation.
